Tijdens haar studie Sociaal Pedagogische Hulpverlening heeft Malou Schilder stage gelopen bij Circus Elleboog in Amsterdam. Voor haar afstudeeronderzoek is ze drie maanden in Boekarest (Roemenië) geweest. Daar gebruikt de hulporganisatie PARADA circusactiviteiten om straatkinderen weer een toekomst te geven. Malou heeft onderzocht welke methodiek PARADA daarbij  gebruikt en welke plaats het circus binnen de hele organisatie zou kunnen hebben.

Het contact met PARADA is ontstaan in 2004 toen Circus For Development voor drie van hun circus-animatores (ex-straatjongeren) een stage in Nederland heeft georganiseerd bij Circus Elleboog, Circus Rotjeknor en Stichting Capriool. Tijdens hun verblijf hebben ze geld ingezameld voor een training van nieuwe circusanimatores .

Malou Schilder undertook an internship at Circus Elleboog in Amsterdam during her study Social Pedagogic work. She went to Bucharest (Romania) for three months. There the social organisation PARADA helps streetchildren to a better future. Malou did research on which methodology PARADE uses and which position the circus could have within the organisation.

The contact with PARADE started in 2004 when Circus For Development organised an internship in Holland (at Circus Elleboog, Circus Rotjeknor and Stichting Capriool) for three circus-animators (ex- street children). During their stay they collected money for a training of new circusanimators.
